NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 5 - Always A Fresh Start

 November 5, 2021

Fresh Start. New Beginnings.

“Let go of what is not working.”

I came across these words when I scrolled

through my Facebook newsfeed and it’s worth writing.

To new beginnings!

This was also my entry on the Day 1 of my NaNoWriMo challenge.

Every day can be a fresh start.

Cheers to new beginnings that we have the privilege to have!

Some of my Writing Challenge will be about my past adventures.

I planned to write a book about Mountains and Lessons.

This is basically all about the mountains I have gone through

and all the lessons it gave me.

Wish me luck on this and I look forward to finishing this soon.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 4 - Halloween and Memories

 November 4, 2021

Halloween and Memories

Happy Halloween! I know it’s a bit too late but I just randomly thought of this topic when I watched a vlog about kids going to their neighborhood for Trick or Treat.

I’m glad that I’ve got to experience halloween and this has been part of my childhood life.

One of the memories I treasure.

When I was still a child, every year, we looked forward to collecting candies and chocolates!

And that was every halloween because we can do Trick or Treat.

Every door of the village where my mom worked, we went there to ask for candies.

It was tiring but it gave us so much fun especially when we got a handful of candies!

We were always with Mama and then at the end of the village, there’s a halloween party for kids and we can have free hotdogs, ice creams and fish balls.

I even experienced wearing a costume as a beggar. They put plastics on my clothes and my clothes were made of sack. Ha-ha!

I even remembered being scared of kids wearing scary costumes that I even got nightmares because of it.

Childhood memories. Fun.

But I also felt a bit sad because it was all in the past now.

When I will have kids in the future, I promised to make them experience that also.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 3 - Jo-Jo (A Short Story)

 November 3, 2021

Jo-Jo: A Wishful Short Story

Dear Jo,

I’ve known you from a special someone.

I messaged you and good thing that you replied because we actually jived.

We shared the same passion and that is music. I love your singing voice just as much as I love your talking voice.

I also admire your toughness and wit. You’re the prettiest when you smile but you’re the cutest when you smirk. You’ve shown me how independent you are and  I like just the way you are.

You have your actual dreams that you are slowly trying to achieve now just like me reaching my goals as well.

After months of talking to you, I finally confessed my intention.

I want to know you more, to know you better, to get closer to you because to tell you honestly, I really wanted to be a part of your world.

I asked permission to court you and I was so happy that you said yes.

My days became more colorful because of our daily conversation, laughs and hanging out.

Before I met you, it’s been  dull for a lot of years.

But here you are now, bringing joy to my life.

Thank you so much to the universe that it let us cross paths.

I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Your dearest,

Jo

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 2 - EQ

November 2, 2021

My writing entry for today: EQ

I did not give in today.

And I’m proud of myself.

I’ve practiced delaying gratitude and thought  of other more important things than spending mindlessly.  I just always tell myself that I can buy it some other time.

And I’m sure I will when the universe permits.

This year has really been a tough year for us. We suffered financially. I broke down, got depressed, got mad at myself, blamed others, blamed myself, had regrets, thought negatively but thanks God, I got up, and remained strong. I stood still and made better choices everyday.

And thanks God again, unexpected blessings always come.

I’ve been so focused on the hardships, challenges and pain that I was going through that most of the time I forgot to be grateful for all the things I already have. I didn’t appreciate all the blessings I prayed before that I now have.

As days passed by, I learned my lessons. No matter how hard life will be, we will always be beyond blessed by just simply living and that’s what we should be focused on. So now, a little tight on the budget won’t hurt. Believing that soon enough, we can already have what we prayed for. In God’s perfect time, it will come.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 1 - Always A Fresh Start

So, I had a NaNoWriMo  (National November Writing Month) 2021 Challenge last November.

And fortunately, I was able to write 22 entries - 1 entry per day.

I wasn't able to finish this 30-day writing challenge because of a travel for work.

And I promise to complete this challenge this year.

So here's my entry No. 1:

Always a fresh start.

Never think that there’s nothing left for you.

Never think that everything that will happen is gonna be bad.

Never think that it’s already too late to start.

As we breathe and as we wake up each day,

We are gifted with countless chances that we can take.

There will always be hope.

There will always be a fresh start.

Failing is not a failure but giving up is.

Standing and trying again is a step closer to the things

That we want to happen in our life.

Always remember that we are not failures.

We just learned.

And we can start again bringing the lessons we

That we have learned from the past.

Don’t ever give up.

No successful people who quit trying.

No happy people knows how to start again.

Keep moving forward.

If no one believes in you,

Let me tell you this,

I do believe in you and in the power of you.

You have the potential.

You have your best talent and skills.

Let it be shown to the world.

So just keep moving forward.

And we will get there someday.

That’s a promise.
