“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” – Hellen Keller

Happy Valentine’s Day!

In line with this celebration, students’ task for this day was to create a valentines card intended for kids also who are patients at Philippine General Hospital.
But before that, a story telling activity was led first by Teacher Jedda. The story is entitled, “Ang Pambihirang Buhok ni Raquel.” The kids attentively listened to her.
The story was about two girls who were cousins. They were Ana and Raquel. Ana was very jealous of Raquel who has a wonderful hair, fair skin, sweet smell and pretty face. Later on, Ana realized that she is luckier than Raquel because she has no any illness unlike her cousin.

After the story telling was the valentine’s card making activity and volunteers assisted the kids in creating those. They must construct a card that has a message for patients wishing them to get well soon.

Recess time was then followed.

Thank you to our sponsors and dedicated volunteers who chose to spend their Valentine’s Day at Helping Land.

I even received love letters from my students and it melted my heart so much.

After the activity at Helping Land, we then proceed to our afternoon activity which will be held at Philippine General Hospital.
We took our lunch first then we did the repacking of goods, scanning of valentines cards and blowing up of balloons for the patients.

Celebrating Valentine’s Day with a little difference but has a big impact on the life of others.
Volunteers packed some goodies and have blown colorful balloons for the kids who are currently patients at Philippine General Hospital.  Valentine’s cards that were created by Helping Land kids were also distributed for them. Volunteers visited three pediatric wards to give these simple gifts and wishing them to get better as well.

Celebrating Valentine's Day #theprojectpearlsway at Pediatric Ward 6! :)

Thank you to Ms. Annie for the assistance, Tondo kids for the hand-made valentine’s cards and volunteers for the dedication and giving some time of this special day for the patients at PGH.
Let us all continue to spread the love not just for this day but every day!

 Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
