Showing Love: The Starting Point

So, last night I went out with my friends.

We went into a KTV bar to celebrate my friend’s birthday.

Also, a friend brought a girl she’s courting.

It was a fun night actually. I’ve got to meet two new and nice people.

The title of this content is Showing Love: The Starting Point.

Paano mo nga ba maipapakita na gusto mo ang isang tao?

At paano mo nga rin ba malalaman kung gusto ka rin niya?

That’s the topic that was brought up on our group chat after the night out.

And here’s my viewpoint on that.

Kapag gusto mo ang isang tao, you will be clear with your intention.

You will spend a lot of time talking to that person.

You will make them feel that they are the most important person

to you right now.

Ibubuhos mo talaga yung buong atensyon mo sa kaniya.

Kasi nga mas kinikilala mo pa siya eh.

I would also want it to be straightforward

because I don’t want to waste each other’s time.

It should be a mutual decision that you will talk to each other more often

and exclusively.

You will hang out a lot together with friends or alone.

In this way, you can know each other’s interests and thoughts about random topics.

Then you will see if you match.

Also, by spending time together whether virtually or personally,

you would know each other’s flaws

and then you will decide if you’re fine with it and you will choose to stay or go away.

Back to my question number 2, paano mo malalaman kung gusto ka rin niya or kung pareho ba kayo ng nararamdaman?

Through talking with each other as well!

Hindi lang simpleng ‘Good morning’ and ‘Good night’ ang palitan ninyo ng messages.

Every day must be full of topics to talk about. Kahit ano lang mapag-usapan.

The next thing is don’t leave each other clueless.

Decide whether you’ll stop na or you’ll go to the next stage.

You can also set a timeline to yourself.

Hanggang kailan kami nasa talking stage?

Hanggang kailan kami nasa ligawan stage?

Hanggang kailan ako manliligaw?

Kailan ko malalaman ang sagot niya?

Ano ba yung ni-lo-look forward nyo?

Kailan natin ito titigil?

It doesn’t need to have an exact date but at least respect each other’s time.

Para ma-set yung expectations ng isa’t isa.

Hindi nakaka-disappoint,

hindi nanghuhula of what went wrong,

hindi feeling lost, walang magsasabi ng paasa.

I believe that having a relationship should include plans and actions.

If you both feel that it won’t work out, then stop.

If one of you feels that it won’t work out, then talk about it.

Please stop the ghosting culture. Utang na loob!

I also believe that everything can be discussed and talked about

to come up with a specific solution or end result.

It’s all about negotiations.

As a pursuer, it’s always better to be clear with your intentions

and being firm about it.

As the one who’s being pursued,

it’s a basic act to be honest and truthful of how you really feel.

Huwag maging paasa.

Huwag maging malabo.

Hindi sila manghuhula.

Let’s also be clear on how we see the things laid out on our front.

Consider the timelines as well.

Para hindi sayang sa oras, pera at effort.

Ayun lang!

I Dreamed of You Again Last Night

Date Written: May 16, 2022

Why?

This is the question

I first thought

when I woke

in the middle of the night

after dreaming of you…again.

The last time I dreamed of you

was last 2020 (based on what I remember).

It’s been awhile since

we last talked to each other.

This is what I dreamed about last night.

Our communications were open once again.

And it was as if the past feelings

were there once again.

And it felt guilty.

Maybe subconsciously,

I was comparing you

to my male best friend

that’s why I have dreamt of you.

I also thought of

my other male friends yesterday.

Though there were only a few,

I’m grateful for having them.

Then I thought of you

if it would be nice to have you

back as a friend again.

But I also thought

that I was able to live my life

without you even for just as a friend.

Maybe that thought

triggered my mind

to dream of you last night.

Wherever you are right now

or whatever you do,

I wish you well always.

May you find happiness

in everything you do and you choose.

I Started Reading the Bible Again

Date Written: January 19, 2022

Today, I started reading the bible again.

And this was my takeaway.

Philippians 1:9-11

"And this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.

So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God."

My reflection:

I am thankful for the challenge I faced last week because I felt closer to God again.

I talked to Him more, I cried in Him, I told Him all my worries and fears and let Him control

my life.

When I lifted up everything to Him, my heart was light once again. I stopped overthinking and I turned to motivational books again.

My prayer:

Thank you Lord God for the blessing I received.

I may have faced one of the hardest challenges this year but You were with us.

Please remind me to always humble

myself, think better and remove all

the hatred in my heart.

May You always protect us from all the evil and please always give us good health.

And this I pray, In Jesus name. Amen.

Back on Track

Date Written: January 15, 2022

January 1.

This is the time where we mostly do our New Year Resolution. It is something that we want to change.

Mine started a bit late this year because of what happened to us.

And I may say that I’m back on track on the 15th day of January.

On this day, I started to dream again.

I felt so productive on this day because I was able to update my planner and my e-journal. I even opened my art journal and put a new entry in it.

I also continued to read the book by Nora Roberts.

And then for the following day, I started reading a new self-help book entitled, “Winning the War In Your Mind”. I also started reading a new romance novel book by Colleen Hoover, “It Ends With Us” for the creative part of my brain.

I was also back on my thinking chair/desk.

When I sit there, my brain is always working. My notebooks are on and same with my personal laptop. I write whatever I want. I watch tutorial and inspiring videos. I do whatever I think will make me productive.

This is me when I am in my most productive state.

And I am sure that I am really back on track!

Thank you, Lord God, for the strength and wisdom.

This is me now, choosing to move forward.

Living to love. Loving to live.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 5 - Always A Fresh Start

 November 5, 2021

Fresh Start. New Beginnings.

“Let go of what is not working.”

I came across these words when I scrolled

through my Facebook newsfeed and it’s worth writing.

To new beginnings!

This was also my entry on the Day 1 of my NaNoWriMo challenge.

Every day can be a fresh start.

Cheers to new beginnings that we have the privilege to have!

Some of my Writing Challenge will be about my past adventures.

I planned to write a book about Mountains and Lessons.

This is basically all about the mountains I have gone through

and all the lessons it gave me.

Wish me luck on this and I look forward to finishing this soon.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 4 - Halloween and Memories

 November 4, 2021

Halloween and Memories

Happy Halloween! I know it’s a bit too late but I just randomly thought of this topic when I watched a vlog about kids going to their neighborhood for Trick or Treat.

I’m glad that I’ve got to experience halloween and this has been part of my childhood life.

One of the memories I treasure.

When I was still a child, every year, we looked forward to collecting candies and chocolates!

And that was every halloween because we can do Trick or Treat.

Every door of the village where my mom worked, we went there to ask for candies.

It was tiring but it gave us so much fun especially when we got a handful of candies!

We were always with Mama and then at the end of the village, there’s a halloween party for kids and we can have free hotdogs, ice creams and fish balls.

I even experienced wearing a costume as a beggar. They put plastics on my clothes and my clothes were made of sack. Ha-ha!

I even remembered being scared of kids wearing scary costumes that I even got nightmares because of it.

Childhood memories. Fun.

But I also felt a bit sad because it was all in the past now.

When I will have kids in the future, I promised to make them experience that also.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 3 - Jo-Jo (A Short Story)

 November 3, 2021

Jo-Jo: A Wishful Short Story

Dear Jo,

I’ve known you from a special someone.

I messaged you and good thing that you replied because we actually jived.

We shared the same passion and that is music. I love your singing voice just as much as I love your talking voice.

I also admire your toughness and wit. You’re the prettiest when you smile but you’re the cutest when you smirk. You’ve shown me how independent you are and  I like just the way you are.

You have your actual dreams that you are slowly trying to achieve now just like me reaching my goals as well.

After months of talking to you, I finally confessed my intention.

I want to know you more, to know you better, to get closer to you because to tell you honestly, I really wanted to be a part of your world.

I asked permission to court you and I was so happy that you said yes.

My days became more colorful because of our daily conversation, laughs and hanging out.

Before I met you, it’s been  dull for a lot of years.

But here you are now, bringing joy to my life.

Thank you so much to the universe that it let us cross paths.

I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Your dearest,

Jo

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 2 - EQ

November 2, 2021

My writing entry for today: EQ

I did not give in today.

And I’m proud of myself.

I’ve practiced delaying gratitude and thought  of other more important things than spending mindlessly.  I just always tell myself that I can buy it some other time.

And I’m sure I will when the universe permits.

This year has really been a tough year for us. We suffered financially. I broke down, got depressed, got mad at myself, blamed others, blamed myself, had regrets, thought negatively but thanks God, I got up, and remained strong. I stood still and made better choices everyday.

And thanks God again, unexpected blessings always come.

I’ve been so focused on the hardships, challenges and pain that I was going through that most of the time I forgot to be grateful for all the things I already have. I didn’t appreciate all the blessings I prayed before that I now have.

As days passed by, I learned my lessons. No matter how hard life will be, we will always be beyond blessed by just simply living and that’s what we should be focused on. So now, a little tight on the budget won’t hurt. Believing that soon enough, we can already have what we prayed for. In God’s perfect time, it will come.

NaNoWriMo 2021 Challenge # 1 - Always A Fresh Start

So, I had a NaNoWriMo  (National November Writing Month) 2021 Challenge last November.

And fortunately, I was able to write 22 entries - 1 entry per day.

I wasn't able to finish this 30-day writing challenge because of a travel for work.

And I promise to complete this challenge this year.

So here's my entry No. 1:

Always a fresh start.

Never think that there’s nothing left for you.

Never think that everything that will happen is gonna be bad.

Never think that it’s already too late to start.

As we breathe and as we wake up each day,

We are gifted with countless chances that we can take.

There will always be hope.

There will always be a fresh start.

Failing is not a failure but giving up is.

Standing and trying again is a step closer to the things

That we want to happen in our life.

Always remember that we are not failures.

We just learned.

And we can start again bringing the lessons we

That we have learned from the past.

Don’t ever give up.

No successful people who quit trying.

No happy people knows how to start again.

Keep moving forward.

If no one believes in you,

Let me tell you this,

I do believe in you and in the power of you.

You have the potential.

You have your best talent and skills.

Let it be shown to the world.

So just keep moving forward.

And we will get there someday.

That’s a promise.
