Project Pearls
After School Program at Helping Land
(Feb. 28, 2016)
Once again, it was a movie day for the kids of Helping Land!
The courtyard became a theater room again and the kids attentively watched a Disney movie. It was “Inside Out.” The story was about a girl named Riley and her five major emotions who were Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger.
When the film was over, Teacher Jedda had a short discussion of what are the lessons that can be learned fromAthe movie. The kids actively participated on some of her questions.
Volunteers handled at least five kids to maintain kids’ quietness and to assist them for the recess.
Thank you to our sponsors for providing foods for the kids.
Thank you also to our ever dedicated old volunteers as well as with our first timer volunteers!
“Volunteerism is love. You won’t do it just for convenience or when you have nothing else to do. You have to pursue. It is a commitment that no matter how busy you are, you’ll still give time for it.” –Jedda Punzalan, coordinator of After School Program.
